first_img The young Three Lions side triumphed against the Ivory Coast England retained their Toulon Tournament title after beating the Ivory Coast on penalties at the Stade De Lettre on Saturday afternoon.The Three Lions followed up their 2016 triumph with another victory after securing the trophy for the first time in 22 years in the competition’s previous edition.Leeds United’s Ronaldo Vieira scored the decisive penalty to hand his side a 5-3 win via a penalty shootout.  David Brooks of Sheffield United had given the young Three Lions the lead before Ivory Coast forced the final into extra-time and penalties.The win caps off another superb tournament for England, who booked their place in the final by defeating Scotland 3-0 in the semi-finals while the Ivory Coast Under-20s beat the Czech Republic 2-1. 1last_img read more
