MONTEBELLO — Police arrested a 17-year-old male in the drive-by shooting of a 12-year-old boy as he was taking out the trash, police said Thursday. The 12-year-old boy was in the front yard of his home in the 500 block of Walnut Avenue when shots were fired into the yard at about 10:20 p.m. on Feb. 5. The intended target was the boy’s brother, police said in a statement released after the incident.
