The Fund seeks to empower communities with skills and experiences to create a stronger and more engaged society, in particular through education and community capacity building.Under the programme the community groups and organisations can apply to:Provide community education and development that is aimed at tackling the challenges of social and economic disadvantageImprove civic participation for people who are disadvantaged and excludedOvercome cultural and political divisionExamples of types of activities/projects which will be funded:Leadership projectsAdult education programmes, in particular aimed at improving adult literacyEntrepreneurship and employability programmesCapital cost are eligible up to a maximum amount of £2,000The Fund says that if it is oversubscribed, priority will be given to smaller organisations.
